Quick access to information

STANLEYS 24-HOUR LINE FOR FACTS ACCRINGTON Stanley fans will be able to get round-the-clock information on forthcoming games with the launch of a new fan line today. The new service will carry ticket prices, kick-off times, and other general information about fixtures. And fans have hailed it as another sign of Stanleys return to prominence. The deal has also been a good result for the Blackburn company which installed the system and is now talking to other football clubs with a view to installing similar facilities. Rob Heys, club administrator, said the new facilities would take the heat off staff at the club. He said: It gives brief information for the next fixture. It will come into its own when we get a rainy day because we get so many people ringing to ask if the game is still on. Its just quick access to information for people, and its 24-hours a day which is helpful. Tony Raynor, managing director of Blackburn company Abbey Telecom, said: ÒTelecoms is very often left to the last moment when it can be critical for a business. After our success with Accrington Stanley we are now talking to a number of other football clubs from ail leagues to improve their supporter relationship management WELCOMING CHEER: Stanley administrator Rob Heys (left) and Tony Raynor of Abbey Telecom, holding the Unibond League Trophy which the team won last season, celebrate the new fan line.
