Voicemail administration tips

 

To enter voicemail, press the Voice Message Key, the pass code will be set in default to 0000. Your mailbox will not function properly until you have put your voice message on. To do this, press option 0, followed by 5 followed by 7. When you have got the message you require press the #. If you regularly change your voicemail message, you must first delete the original message and reset the message followed by the #.

 

If you go into Voicemail, press #. This is called Personal Services. If you press the 7, followed by 2, you can add your name, which is useful to internal callers when leaving a ‘quick memo’. Subscriber pass codes can also be changed in this menu.

 

To leave a quick memo, (a message at somebody else’s voicemail) press # followed by their extension number. This will be recorded at their phone as a message. This is a very efficient way of passing messages internally.

 

Voicemail can be remotely accessed by dialling your own DDI – Normally you would press * # followed by your pass code. However, this may vary on different systems.

 

When accessing messages.

 

Enter your mailbox, once the message is playing prompts will be displayed under the screen; more prompts are accessible by pressing the Scroll button. Useful prompts;

 

PLAY – plays the current message

 

SAVE – Stores the message in your mailbox

 

DEL – Deletes the message

 

REPLY – calls the caller back

 

FWD – To forward the message to other mailboxes, It will still be saved on your mailbox until you delete it.

 

FFWD – To fast forward the message.

 

 

RECORD KEY – When a call is recorded on a handset it is dropped into your mailbox as a new message, this can then be treated accordingly

i.e.; the message can be forwarded to other mailboxes etc.
