How to transfer incoming calls externally

"Trunk to Trunk transfer"

A Trunk-to-Trunk transfer is the feature which allows an external caller to be transferred to an outside line i.e. if a member of staff is out of the office but working from home or out but using a mobile phone and doesn’t want these numbers giving out, it means that the caller will not actually know that they are not at their desk.

When a caller phones in press the TRANSFER key followed by 9 + Telephone number of the person you want to put the call through to, wait to announce the caller as you would to a normal extension. If they don’t want the call press TRANSFER to bring the caller back.

If they are in the speed dial memory, press TRANSFER SPD (or 16) followed by the speed dial number. If it is someone who would use this facility a lot it would be worth setting up an LCD button with their number on.
